Conference realignment is top of mind for all of us at Oregon State and I have never felt more confident in our leadership’s resolve to find a way through this shifting landscape.

Scott Barnes, our Athletic Director, has been transparent and informative every step of the way. Scott and President Murthy are leading us through uncertain times while supporting us and encouraging us to keep our focus on the well-being and development of our teams. I will share with you my messaging to the team.  Three things remain irrefutably true regardless of conference boundaries:

1) We know what fast is on the National scale—and we will continue to work towards those speed standards without excuse. We will continue to race and test ourselves against the best teams in the country no matter what.
2) The financial support from our alumni, friends, and donors has been central in providing quality training and competitive opportunities necessary.

3) This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and opportunity to build a team based on hard work, mutual trust and respect, and a voracious appetite for challenge. Don’t miss a moment!

We are so grateful for your investment and belief in this program—I encourage us all to focus on what we can control and invest accordingly. Please know we welcome your messages, correspondence, AND PLEASE COME VISIT!! We want to see you and reconnect with you! You are welcome to come watch practice in the launch with me anytime and please strongly consider coming to the Orange & Black Regatta this fall as well as CRASH Beavs and Spring Launch Dinner in February.
